How to Activate Netflix on a TV or Console
Televisions and consoles do not ask for your password. They show a short code instead, which you enter on a phone or computer. Here is the process for each device, and what to do when the code will not work.
Open the Netflix app on your television or console and choose Sign In. The app displays a short activation code. On a phone or computer, go to netflix.com/tv8, sign in to your Netflix account there, and enter the code. The television signs itself in within a few seconds. Codes expire after a few minutes, so if it fails, request a fresh one rather than retyping the old one.

Why Televisions Use a Code Instead of a Password

Samsung, LG, Sony and TCL Televisions
The Netflix app is preinstalled on most modern televisions and there is usually a Netflix button on the remote. The steps are the same across manufacturers, with only the menu names differing.
