I am working as an associate professor at the Department of Geomatics and Remote Sensing Engineering, Xiamen University of Technology, China. I received my Doctors degree in Remote Sensing of Resources and Environment, Nanjing University, China. My research interests focus on scale effects research for remotely sensed surface parameters (especially for vegetation indexes and soil moisture), spatiotemporal fusion of multisource remote sensing data. And these several years I conducted some work on remotely sensed estimation of soil parameters (especially of soil heavy metal content and soil organic matter content) by hyper-spectral remote sensing and soil-landscape theory. And I am now a guest researcher at the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, Lund University.

Professor Yung Tse Hung, Ph.D., P.E., DEE, Fellow-ASCE, is Professor of Civil Engineering at Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, since 1981. He has obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, and his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970. He has been on faculty and taught at 16 universities in 8 countries. He has served on the faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Dakota, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, United Arab Emirates University, and Cleveland State University, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia, and Cleveland State University. As a Fulbright Scholar he has served on the faculty of Kazan State University, Kazan State Technological University, Kazan State Academy of Architecture and Construction, Kazan, Russia, and Kyrgyz State National University, International University of Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Agrarian Academy, Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture, and Bishkek Humanities University, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. His primary research interests and publications have been involved with biological wastewater treatment, industrial water pollution control and industrial waste treatment, and municipal wastewater treatment. He has about 10 books, 450 report and journal publications, and conference presentations in water and wastewater treatment. He is a Fellow of American Society of Civil Engineers, a diplomate of American Academy of Environmental Engineers, Fellow of Ohio Academy of Science, a member of Association of Environmental Engineering Association and Water Environment Federation. He is the Executive Director of Overseas Chinese Environmental Engineers and Scientists Association (OCEESA) and the Editor-in-Chief of OCEESA Journal. He is Editor, International Journal of Environment and Waste Management (IJEWM), Editor, International Journal of Environmental Engineering (IJEE), Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Environmental Engineering Science (IJEES), and Guest Editor, Special Issue on "Science and Technology of Wastewater and Sludge Treatment", Water ¿ MDPI. He is co-editor of several environmental engineering books by Humana Press and CRC. He is a registered professional engineer in Ohio and North Dakota.

Prof. Shanzhong Qi received the Ph.D. degree in Physical Geography from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004. Since 2004, he has been a Professor with College of Geography and Environment at Shandong Normal University. His research field is focused on the teaching and scientific research of environmental hazards as well as resources and environmental management, and he has undertaken many important scientific research projects. As the first author and corresponding author, he has published more than 40 SCI and EI academic papers and one monograph. He has respectively won one the 12th National Young Geoscience and Technology Award, second Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Shandong Province, and first Prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievements of Shandong Colleges and Universities.

Zhang Guilong, PhD in Agronomy, Researcher, PhD tutor. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Agronomy at Henan Agricultural University in 1999 and 2006, respectively, and Doctor’s Degree in Agronomy at the graduate school of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS) in 2009. During 1999 - 2003, he worked at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Xinyang, China on the crop breeding and field ecological regulation. From 2009- current, he worked at the Agro-Environmental Protection Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China on soil carbon and nitrogen cycling and pollution prevention and control technology. He is the key expert of State Biodiversity and Eco-agriculture Innovation Team of China and the director of Branch of Tillage of China Association of Agricultural Science Societies (CAASS). He is the project host of the National Key Research and Development Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He has published more than 40 papers in mainstream journals in the field of ecology, environment and soil and fertilizer.
He is a soil ecologist interested to observe biogeochemistry processes of soil C and N cycling. Currently, he focusses on the microbial mechanisms driving the soil C and N cycling, reveals the relationship between soil microorganisms, C and N cycling and soil health, and develops farmland soil health cultivation and pollution control technology.
Dr. Nuruzzaman is currently working as Research Associate at Global Center for Environmental Remediation (GCER), University of Newcastle, Australia. Before joining at UON, Dr. Nuruzzaman was a full time PhD scholar at the Centre for Environmental Risk Assessment and Remediation (CERAR), University of South Australia, Mawson Lakes, Australia (2013 to 2015) and at GCER (2015-2017). During his PhD tenure, Dr. Zaman has worked on synthesis of nanoencapsulated pesticide where insights of pesticide loading to the nanocarriers was the main aspect of his research. Dr. Nuruzzaman is currently working on development of new low residual pesticide delivery systems using both organic and inorganic porous nano-carriers to reduce the offsite impacts of pesticide. He is also working on synthesis of smart and intelligent nano-fertilizer to enhance the nutrient use efficiency.

Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Pattimura University, Indonesia, received his MSc. from the Department of Crop Science University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and completed his PhD program at the Martin Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg, Germany and at the Institute for Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research, Gatersleben, Germany. He is also the Director of Center for the Conservation of Maluku’s Biodiversity (CCMB) (2006-now), General Secretary of the Wallacea Center Pattimura University (2017-now), Local Manager of Blended Learning-Value Chain Project, Indonesia-Netherlands (2017-2021).

Speciation and adaptive evolution of plant under biogeographical context with the help of ecology and genomics, ultrahigh biodiversity in/around Pan-Himalayan region
Marcia finished her PhD at the University of Arizona in 2010 and became a postdoctoral and research associate, at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She focused on developing and managing projects where multi and transdisciplinary approaches were used to understand the interactions of humans and the environment, and how different management approaches and conservation were affecting those interactions. She brought her expertise on participatory methods and geospatial technology for the co-production of data and knowledge to support decisions and planning to solve complex environmental, economic and social problems. Her experience highlights the importance of understanding the cultural, social and ecological environment with the intention of bringing trust and empowerment to the process and to establish synergies between actors (i.e., scientists, stakeholders and resource users). Her experience working with governmental and non-governmental organizations and within the academic realm has allowed her to be an author and co-author on public outreach efforts and scientific papers on local knowledge, participatory research and geographic information systems, coastal and marine conservation, fishing communities, vulnerability to climate change, blue carbon and more recently, blue economy.
Coleman recent work has focused on university administration. His most recent research focus is the ecological effects of environmental change, particularly elevated CO2 and how elevated CO2 interacts with changes in patterns of temperature, nutrients and water to affect plant physiology and performance, plant communities, ecosystem productivity and carbon and nutrient flux in both natural and laboratory settings. Other research focused on integrating plant anatomical and physiological development, originally using eastern cottonwood as a model system, toward gaining new perspectives on the susceptibility of plants to abiotic and biotic stresses; and using this integrated perspective to assess whether variation in plant responses to environmental variables is related to the optimization of costs and benefits. His laboratory also used this perspective to examine the physiological and evolutionary ecology of low molecular weight plant heat shock proteins (hsps), and we were the first lab to demonstrate a physiological function of these hsps in protecting photosynthesis during heat stress, as well adding significantly to our understanding of the ecological and evolutionary causes and consequences of variation in hsp production by plants. I also collaborated on a project using EcoCELL technology to understand the flux and accumulation of mercury in an experimental ecosystem.
