Dr. Hasan grew up in India and completed his dental education there. After graduating he was in private practice and worked as faculty. He also had success as Director of a family-owned surgical center in India. His family ties moved him to Canada and then to US. In US he completed two years of GPR, first year from Meharry Medical College, SoDM and chief residency year from Carolinas Medical Center where he stayed and completed Oral Medicine residency. He joined University of Kentucky in 2013 as Assistant Professor then went on to become Division Chief of Oral Medicine, Oral Diagnosis & Oral Radiology. In 2016 he was offered a position at ECU School of Dental Medicine which he saw as an opportunity to establish Oral Medicine in the School as well as provide care to people of Eastern NC. Since becoming a faculty, he won teaching awards, acknowledgements, and honors and even featured in North Carolina Health news for his services to the region. Cases diagnosed and treated by him has been presented at national & international conferences. He has also been keynote, speaker at the annual conference of a leading healthcare insurance company. He has been an invited speaker at different levels which has included international invitations. He serves in several committees at school and university level. Nationally he plays the role of mentor for American Academy of Oral Medicine for students, residents and dentists planning a career and Oral Medicine and is also in the Membership Committee of AAOM. Currently at ECU School of Dental Medicine he is Clinical Associate Professor of Oral Medicine and Director of Emergency.

Pouran Famili is full professor in periodontics, and also full professor in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds the doctorate in epidemiology and the masters degree in public health from the University of Pittsburgh, where she has been on the periodontics faculty thirty years. She is board-certified in periodontics and in implantology. She is the past chair of the department from 2005-2015 and past director of the nine residents in periodontics during that time period and before. She has served dentistry with distinction, becoming Diplomate in periodontics and implantology, and fellow in many professional societies. Eber Luis Stevao (DDS, S.Ed, PhD - Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon) was born in Southern Brazil in the year of 1968. He graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Parana, School of Dentistry, Curitiba - Brazil, obtaining a DDS degree. He completed his post-graduation studies in Teachings and Didactics and received the title of Specialist in Advanced Education. After his Residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 1995 thru 1999. During the residency he started his Doctorate in OMS receiving his Ph.D. degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, School of Dentistry, Porto Alegre - Brazil. His thesis was about Bone Repair. In 2001 he was accepted for a 2-full year training in OMS at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas - TX under Dr. Larry Wolfords tutelage. At the end of 2003 Dr. Stevao brought to Brazil the TMJ Surgical Prosthesis technique and legalized the TMJ total joint prosthesis (TMJ Concepts System) being the first surgeon to perform a science-based TMJ total joint alloplastic replacement in Brazil. In 2008 he was the first South American to enter the reclusive American Society of Temporomandibular Surgeons (ASTMJS). Besides his three already published books he wrote, edited and published the very first illustrative text-book about TMJ Surgery launched in 2014, Chicago, Illinois and has several publications in international journals. Andy Choi is an early career researcher who received his Ph.D. from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia in 2004 on the use of computer modelling and simulation known as finite element analysis (FEA) to examine the biomechanical behavior of implants installed into a human mandible (jaw). Choi expanded his research focus from FEA to biomaterials and nanocoatings, in particular, calcium phosphate-based nonmaterials for biomedical applications such as drug delivery and tissue engineering. Dr. Choi has extensive experience in the sol-gel synthesis of multifunctional bioceramic nanocoatings and nanocomposite coatings for dental and biomedical applications. His skills also expanded to the mechanical characterizations of these coatings using techniques such as nanoindentation. In late 2010, Dr. Choi was successfully awarded the internationally competitive Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowship Award and undertook his post-doctoral training at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong focusing on the application of FEA in dentistry and the development of calcium phosphate nano-bioceramics. To date, Dr. Choi has authored 50 publications including 3 books and 24 book chapters on calcium phosphate, nano-biomaterial coatings, sol-gel technology, and finite element analysis in nanomedicine and dentistry. At the moment, he is an associate editor of the Journal of Australian Ceramic Society (ISSN: 0004-881X) and as a guest editor for the Journal of Healthcare Engineering (Special Issue: Functional Coatings and Thin Films for Dental and Orthopedic Applications, ISSN: 2040-2295), and as a member of the editorial board in a number of dentistry and nanotechnology journals. In addition, he also served as a local Advisory Committee in the 16th Australasian BioCeramics Symposium (ABC) in 2016.

We have more than 230 beds dedicated to ENT and Head and Neck Surgery, an operating theater with 9 surgical theaters, and more than 50 surgeries per day. My activity is concerning mainly head and neck oncology, rhinology, anterior skull base surgery (endoscopic and external), laryngology including LASER surgery. I am passionate about new surgical technologies. I am performing more than 1000 surgeries per year and more that 8.000 in total. I am author of more than 20 articles indexed in ISI Web of Science publication and more that 100 articles indexed in different scientific databases. I have author and coauthor of 7 books. From last year I was invited to be General Secretary of the Romanian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. Nizam Abdulla is a lecturer in College of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah, UAE. She received her Bachelor in Dental Surgery from Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and Diploma in Dental Public Health (Royal College of Surgeons) England. She served in the Ministry of Health Malaysia for 16 years before joining academia in University Sains Malaysia in 2000. In 2006 she moved to United Arab Emirates and continue her endeavour in academia at the University of Sharjah. Her current research interest is in Oral Microbiology in relation to oral health.
