Overview

The principal of a Quality School (QS) should possess the skills of “digital technology”, “campus buildings”, “curriculum Improvement”, “research development”, “integration of academic affairs and guidance “of interdisciplinary leadership ability. And then leading the overall development of school affairs with energy towards a high-quality school. To move towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the principal leaders of Generation Z must adopt the contingency mechanism of “interdisciplinary learning, interdisciplinary thinking, interdisciplinary leadership, interdisciplinary innovation” to promote the development of school affairs. Inherit traditional culture, continue innovation and development, expand international perspective, and learn from the world, thereby reserving the energy of the principal and molding the “value brand” of interdisciplinary leadership.

Meaning

The principal’s interdisciplinary leadership means that the principal must have “school affairs development in educational management”, “innovative and advanced teaching of educational philosophy”, “total quality in business management”, “total personnel control in economics”, “application of total funding in Marketing”, “life counseling of developmental psychology”, “sustainable development of future studies”, etc., drive the school’s energy influence process in molding a high-quality school as a whole. The principals must cultivate and construct seven leadership energies when managing school affairs. The principal’s interdisciplinary leadership energy diagram is shown in Figure 1.

• School Affairs Development of Educational Management The basic concept of educational management emphasizes that smart education includes smart management, smart teaching and smart research and development; smart makers include smart creativity, smart creation, smart energy creation and smart value creation; smart capital includes human capital, structural capital, and relationship capital [1]. The schools use smart technology to improve school development performance.

• Innovative and Advanced Teaching of Educational Philosophy Set teaching goals through educational philosophy and design innovative teaching methods to improve teaching quality and activate teaching curriculum.

• Total Quality in Business Management The school management is like business management. Through the quality control circle of plan, do, check, and action, total quality management is carried out to drive the school as a whole towards a quality school.

• Total Personnel Control in Economics The school management is like economics, must control the total number of personnel, promote suitable talents, and maximize educational functions.

• Application of Total Funding in Marketing The principals need to have market concepts in management school affairs, master existing funds, and effectively allocate and apply them to maximize educational resources. At the same time, it is necessary to explore more funding sources, such as participating in project competitions; writing policy plans to obtain funding subsidies; inter-school strategic alliances to share resources; cooperation plans between industry, government, academia and research, and use the total amount of funds to maximize benefits.

• Life Counseling of Developmental Psychology The principals must interdisciplinary study the psychological development process of students and provide life guidance, learning guidance, career guidance and life guidance so that students can receive all-round guidance during their studies in school.

• Sustainable Development of Futurology The sustainable development goals of futurology should focus on “interdisciplinary learning”, “interdisciplinary thinking”, “interdisciplinary leadership” and “interdisciplinary innovation” to stimulate students’ learning momentum and mold brand value.

Management Strategies

Currently in the Generation Z era of artificial intelligence and digital technology, “interdisciplinary learning” and “interdisciplinary leadership” have become important issues. “Without interdisciplinary leaders, there will be no interdisciplinary learners.” The principals must reserve the energy of interdisciplinary leadership to promote students’ “interdisciplinary learning” abilities and improve school performance. QS principal’s interdisciplinary leadership management strategy covers “digital technology management system strategy”, “sustainable development strategy of campus buildings”, “adaptive teaching strategy for curriculum improvement”, “innovative breakthrough strategy for research and development” and “ character value strategy for integration of learning guidance” and other five major school operation strategies, as shown in Figure 2.

• Digital Technology Management System Strategy In the era of digital technology and artificial intelligence, principals’ management school affairs must use digital technology management systems to conduct comprehensive planning and design, including administrative management systems, student learning systems, teacher teaching systems, and organizational development systems. Four systems to demonstrate the functions of campus digital systems and improve school performance.

• Sustainable Development Strategy of Campus Buildings The sustainable development strategy of campus buildings refers to the planning and design of school buildings, educational activity facilities and surrounding equipment, which must comply with the green energy indicators of sustainable development. This will further encourage the school to “conservate energy, save energy, and increase production capacity”, develop a sustainable campus, and achieve sustainable development goals.

• Adaptive Teaching Strategy for Curriculum Improvement The adaptive teaching strategy for curriculum improvement refers to the school curriculum design should be matched with creative methods of adaptive teaching to respond to students’ adaptive learning and stimulate their learning motivation to achieve the best learning benefits.

• Innovative Breakthrough Strategy for Research and Development The innovative breakthrough strategy of research and development means refers to the principal should lead the administrative or teaching team to conduct school development research, teaching method research, and other related administrative operations, curriculum improvement, teaching innovation and other action research, so as to solve teaching on-site problems and improve teaching quality, molding the teaching brand.

• Character Value Strategy for Integration of Learning Guidance The character value strategy of the integration of academic assistants refers to the principal jointly promotes campus character education through the integration mechanism of the Academic Affairs Office and the Guidance Office, so that character education, life education, and moral education can play an educational role in order to establish a character value brand.

Conclusion

At present innovation and transformation of digital technology, all walks of life are in urgent need of highly innovative talents. Both leaders and those being led must have knowledge and abilities with expertise in multidisciplinary. They must be upgraded from a intradisciplinary to multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary, and continue to improve. Self-workplace energy to meet the basic needs of talent selection in the modern workplace [2-4]. Therefore, quality school principals must strengthen their “interdisciplinary learning,” “interdisciplinary thinking,” “interdisciplinary leadership,” and “interdisciplinary innovation.” Principals can expand interdisciplinary learning through “study on site” and “turn to learning”; demonstrate interdisciplinary thinking through “reverse thinking” and “turn to thinking”; demonstrate interdisciplinary leadership through “smart education” and “collective leadership”; and “innovative experiments”, “sustainable development” stimulates interdisciplinary innovation. Through the five strategies of digital technology management system, sustainable development of campus buildings, adaptive teaching of curriculum improvement, innovative breakthroughs in research and development, and character value of integration of learning guidance, the QS principal’s interdisciplinary leadership energy is demonstrated.
