Abstract

This article presents a teaching innovation experience developed within the Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education at the University of Zaragoza as part of a transdisciplinary project involving the fields of Arts Education and Science Education. The experience incorporates Generative Artificial Intelligence image-generation tools as support resources during the initial stages of ideation and design of STEAM-based proposals. The article describes the activities carried out, students’ interactions with digital tools, and several representative examples of the outcomes obtained. Based on an analysis of student portfolios, different forms of GAI use are identified, including its role as a source of visual inspiration, conceptual support, and assistance in decision-making processes. The experience highlights the potential of these tools to enrich collaborative work processes and create new opportunities for critical reflection on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in teacher education.
