John F. Bebawy, MD is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology & Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University. His clinical and research interests and expertise relate to Neuroanesthesia, with a focus on interventions that affect cerebral blood flow and cerebrovascular hemodynamics. Dr. Bebawy completed his Anesthesiology residency and Neurosurgical Anesthesiology fellowship training at Northwestern in 2008, where he is currently faculty and Program Director of the Neurosurgical Anesthesiology Fellowship Program. Mirela Olympia Fagarasan Palmer work in academia as an internationally recognized neuropharmacology and neuroimmunology researcher. Kevin Luk, M.D., M.S., is a board certified anesthesiologist at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Neuroanesthesiology, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine & Critical Care. Dr. Luk is passionate about improving the access to and quality of care for the neurosurgical and neurocritical care patients in the Pacific Northwest. He believes his role is to educate and inform his patients and their loved ones of their care options while remaining compassionate, caring and understanding to their concerns. Dr. Luk earned his M.D. from Boston University and his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was the first physician to complete the UWs combined Anesthesiology-Critical Care Medicine training program. He developed skills in experimentation, enhanced his theoretical knowledge in cardiovascular system and microcirculation and was oriented to scientific research environment. In 2003, he received his masters degree with the thesis titled. The effects of different nitric oxide synthase inhibitors upon hemodynamic of rats received lipopolysaccharide. In the same year, he started his PhD studies at the Department of Biology, University of Istanbul. Besides his academic activities, between November 2000 and January 2010, he was employed at the University of Istanbul as a research assistant. In this position, his primary responsibility was to participate in teaching activities and also to supervise laboratory work. In June 2009, he received PhD degree in Biology with the thesis titled Effects of β3 agonists on cardiovascular system and adhesion molecules in hyperglycemic rats. His thesis was about the investigation of β3 ARs effects on the cardiovascular system and immunologic state during hyperglycemia. In 2009, he started to his second PhD thesis project and worked on the basis of a research grant in the Department of Translational Physiology at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His research was supported by Dutch Kidney Foundation and published in numerous international journals. Until present his research has focused lies on perfusion and oxygenation changes in in both various animal models and clinical conditions. Currently he is employed as an associated professor in Istanbul University.

Dr. Ahmet Eroglu is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the Medical Faculty of Karadeniz Technical University in Trabzon, Turkey. He is also a specialist in Critical Care Medicine. He is Consultant of Critical Care Medicine and Orthopedic Anesthesia. Ahmet Eroglu graduated in Medicine in 1986 at the Istanbul University. He specialized in Anesthesiology in 1999 and Critical Care Medicine in 2011 at the Karadeniz Technical University. Dr. Eroglu has numerous publications in the peer-reviewed journals. His research interests have focused on general and local anesthetics, regional anesthesia, hypotensive epidural anesthesia, orthopedic anesthesia and analgesia, acute pain control, postoperative analgesia, patient controlled analgesia, hazards of anesthetic gases, clinical toxicology, nutrition and critical care medicine. Dr. Eroglu serves as a reviewer in several journals, and he is the member of the editorial board of some journals.

I am in anaesthesia since 1998. My areas of interest are regional anaesthesia; ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia, acute pain management, and intensive care. I have passed fellowship in anaesthesia in Ireland and European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia this year. I have also passed European Diploma of Intensive Care part I. My aim is to pursue my career in chronic pain management. Along with my professional engagement I want to continue my zeal and interest in academics both in publication and as a teacher.
