Biography
Prof Karadag was born in 1968 at Kilis and graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He received ERS Training Fellowship and worked at the Royal Brompton Hospital, UK in 1994-5 with Prof Andrew Bush. In 2005, Dr Karadag received ERS Research Fellowship Award and worked at the Munich University Division of Pediatric Allergy under the supervision of Prof. Erika von Mutius. He has been working as Professor of Pediatrics and the Head of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Marmara University since 2011. Dr Karadag served as the Foreign Relations Chair at the Turkish Thoracic Society between 2013-2015 and as the Chair of the Epidemiology of Pediatric Pulmonary Diseases of ERS between 2015-2017. He is a member of ERS Clinical Research Collaboration for Severe Asthma (SPACE) and has 84 articles on asthma, bronchiectasis, CF and PCD. He is currently the Vice-Chair of Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association.
