Prof. H. M. Srivastava (Hari Mohan Srivastava) has held the position of Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Victoria in Canada since 2006, having joined the faculty there in 1969, first as an Associate Professor (1969{1974) and then as a Full Professor (1974{2006). He began his university-level teaching career right after having received his M.Sc. degree in 1959 at the age of 19 years from the University of Allahabad in India. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 1965 while he was a full-time member of the teaching faculty at the J. N. V. University of Jodhpur in India. He has held numerous visiting research and honorary chair positions at many universities and research institutes in different parts of the world. Having received several D.Sc. (honoris causa) degrees as well as honorary memberships and honorary fellowships of many scientific academies and learned societies around the world, he is also actively associated editorially with numerous international scientific research journals.

Dr. Francisco Pla is Associate Professor of Mathematics (tenure track) of The Department of Mathematics at University of Castilla-La Mancha UCLM, Spain. He got his Phd in Applied Mathematics with mention of European PhD by Universidad de Castilla-la Mancha , UCLM (2009). His research stays are Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions, University of Paris 6, France as visiting Post-Doc in 2010; Institut Galilee, University of Paris 13 (France, predoctoral in 2006) and Centre for Geophysical and Astrophysical Fluids Dynamics, University of Exeter (United Kingdom, predoctoral in 2007). He is very interested in the applications of mathematics in different areas of knowledge such that he keeps collaborations with different research groups in Petrology and Geology and he has collaborations in areas as Chemistry or Food Tecnology between others. In addition he activitilly participate in International Congress and Worhshops (2 congress per year by mean). During M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis We have theoretically investigated the propagation of elastic waves through 1D and 2D mass spring structures. Such systems could be used to transmit acoustic waves at very narrow pass bands inside a broad gap. Also, we have studied waveguiding properties of acoustic waves in 1D and 2D mass spring systems. These structures allow the transmission of narrow bands of frequencies corresponding to the elastic properties of the material. Additionally, by appropriately designing an active guiding device, we can impose transmission at more than one narrow bands of frequencies. Therefore, we have discussed the model of a multiplexer and DE multiplexer based on the X-shaped waveguide. These systems can be utilized for separating one or more merging narrow transmission bands with different frequencies. Also, magnetostrictive and High-Tc superconducting materials are used and discussed in the design of phononic crystals. Additionally, we proposed liquids sensor based on phononic crystals. The sensor can measure different liquids dependent on the intensity and number of resonant frequencies. Therefore, the respective resonant frequency can be used as an indicator for the type and properties of a liquid. Finally, we have studied the interactions of PnCs with radioactive nuclei. We have proposed new models can detect and measure the incident ionizing radiation based on the novel properties of PnCs. The PnC models can detect helium-4, protons and neutrons with high resolutions and efficiency. Meanwhile, to the best of our knowledge, this work is the first design of this type of novel radiation detectors. In the present research plan, I would like to introduce new studies concerning the using of phononic crystals in different fields such as medical applications. Also, we intend to enhance the applications of piezoelectric phononic crystals for energy harvesting. Moreover, we pay attention in studying acoustic Materamaterials, thermo acoustics and Phoxonic crystals. Finally, the acousto-optical interactions in phononic crystals is considered an important research point.

Oliveira has Habilitation on Mathematics-Statistics (2019) and she is PhD in Statistics and Operations Research- specialty Experimental Statistics and Data Analysis, University of Lisbon (2000). She is Master on Statistics and Operations Research, Faculty of Sciences of University of Lisbon (1994) and she graduated in Applied Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Lisbon (1987).
She is Associate Editor of JAS- Journal of Applied Statistics and Member of the Editorial Boards in "Biometrical Letters", “Entre Ciência e Ingeniería”, “Global and Stochastic Analysis”(GSA) and Biometrics & Biostatistics International Journal (BBIJ).
Dr. Ahmed Kaffel received his M.S. in Mathematics in 2009 and his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics in 2011 from the Mathematics Department of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with Professor Michael Renardy as his advisor. Subsequently, after his PhD he has previously been employed at Brown University, University of Maryland and PSU university. He is currently working at Marquette University. His background and interests are in the areas of applied mathematics, applied mechanics and civil engineering like mathematical modeling, fluid mechanics, scientific computing, differential equations, and numerical analysis. He has a strong performance record in research and has a broad experience in teaching various courses in the area of applied Mathematics like Linear algebra and matrix theory, Numerical analysis, Finite Mathematics, Differential equations, and Calculus. His research activity is best summarized as the development of novel numerical methods which are then used, along with classical tools of applied mathematics, to solve physical problems of current interest in fluid mechanics and porous media.

Since 1998, Dr. Pathak has been a Professor at Michigan State University. He was a member of the MSU Biomedical Internal Review Board, 2002–2006; Director, Division of Research, Department of Family and Community Medicine, COM, 2005–2006; Director of Research, Mclaren Regional Medical Center, Flint MI, 1998–2001. The principal focus of his current academic work has been in biostatistical/ epidemiological and IT methods and their applications to statistics education and clinical research. He is currently working on a number of projects in close collaboration with co-workers at the Colleges of Natural Science (CNS), Osteopathic Medicine (COM), and Human Medicine (CHM). In 2009, Dr. Pathak was specifically recognized by the MSU Division of Student Affairs for excellence in Teaching; in 2008, was awarded the outstanding faculty/staff award by the MSU Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities. In 1991, he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the highest honor given to its members and was recognized for his many fundamental and important contributions to statistics, and for being an inspiring and fruitful partner with numerous scientists in collaborative research. He has published extensively in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. He has been major Ph.D. and M.S. advisor to numerous advisees in statistics and epidemiology. His academic interests include research and teaching in statistics, probability, harmonic analysis, epidemiology, sampling and resampling methods, computational statistics, reliability, image processing, operations research, electronic type-setting and information technology. He is currently collaborating or has collaborated with researchers on a number of funded projects, including a U19 NIH-funded grant for a Systems Science Center for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, an R21 NIH-funded grant on Link between Parity, Trunk Muscle Function and Degenerative Spondylolisthesis, an American Osteopathic Association funded study on the Effects of Osteopathic Manual Therapy on Postural Control in Patients with Low Back Pain, an HRSA-funded grant for the MSUCOM Department of Family and Community Medicine; an NIH/NCI-funded international study on breast cancer in women of Polish ancestry; a DOD-funded project on breast abnormality and its detection; an RWJ-funded study on smoking cessation; an RWJ-funded study of consultation model of support for the Great Lakes Research into Practice Network (GRIN); and a standardized Pathology Reporting Lexicon for Breast, Prostate and Colorectal Cancers and others.

Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and is a clinical psychologist at the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. He is a licensed and board certified psychologist with extensive experience in academic and clinical settings. Formerly, he was the Director of the Western Region of the American Board of Clinical Psychology. Dr. Johnson has served as a staff psychologist in community mental health clinics, hospitals, schools and university counseling centers. The University of Iowa, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Central Oklahoma, and San Diego State University are among the sites of his previous academic appointments. In addition, he was an adjunct professor in the Homeland Security Department at San Diego State and the California School of Forensic Studies at Alliant International University. He founded several counseling centers that currently serve racially diverse populations. These sites include the Urban Corp of San Diego County, Southern California American Indian Resource Center, Community Allies for Psychological Empowerment, and the Elim Korean Counseling Center. His practice and research areas include antiterrorism, trauma, police psychology, and transdiagnostic issues with veterans. Duties include providing both individual and group psychotherapy.

Dr. Marler is a research engineer at RAND and a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. His work revolves around modeling and simulation with a focus on multi objective optimization including decision making and game theory, training simulators and virtual environments, digital human modeling, advanced manufacturing, and technology transfer. Marler currently serves on the Department of Commerces Material Technical Advisory Committee MTAC within the Bureau of Industry and Security. Previously, Marler spent seventeen years at the University of Iowa s Center for Computer Aided Design, where he was the assistant director of the Virtual Soldier Research lab, codirector of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology lab, and an adjunct professor with the departments of biomedical engineering, mechanical and industrial engineering, and electrical and computer engineering. Dr. Marler is the President of Virtual Systems Engineering, which focuses on software for analyzing circuit cards, and he is the Chief Research Officer of SantosHuman Inc, which focuses on software for digital human modeling. Additional experience ranges from software design to manufacturing, at Ford Motor Company, Amana, Pacific Northwest National Lab, and Hon.
