He studied obesity related metabolic disorders in women with reproductive age for six years. Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is the common metabolic disorder in pregnant women, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common hormonal disturbance in women with reproductive age. Several reports proposed that obesity derived sub clinical inflammation may have a pivotal role in both of these clinical conditions. In our previous studies, we have tried to how the obesity more usefully can be determined and how the obesity can be less expensive defined. We evaluated relationship between some obesity indicators especially body fat percentage which were defined by skin fold thickness or bioelectrical impedance analysis method and insulin resistance condition determined by homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) index. Additionally I have been assessing potential roles of adipose tissue derived peptides or inflammatory cytokines in women complicated with these two metabolic disorders.

K V Venkatachalam serves as the Professor of Biochemistry at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). While he was at National Institutes of Health (NIH) he cloned, expressed and characterized human PAPSS. He was the pioneer in the field of human PAPSS1 and the isoform PAPSS2b. He has performed site directed mutagenesis studies on the key residues of PAPSS. In order to obtain in silico knowledge on thermodynamics of PAPSS, he collaborates with Dr. Rudiger Ettrich of Czech Academy of Sciences. In 2015, he was honored to be part of the College of Sciences of Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Boca Raton, FL, as an Affiliate Research Professor. He is training numerous PhD and Medical Students on research in the areas of Halitosis/Periodontitis, Cancer and Bone diseases. In 2017, he was awarded a joint appointment with the College of Allopathic Medicine, headed by the Founding Dean Johannes Vieweg, MD, at NSU.

He is the current President/CEO and Professor at the International Institute of Medicine and Science with a previous appointment as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Professor at the Weil Institute of Critical Care Medicine. He was formerly Professor of Radiology, Radiological Sciences, Radiation Medicine (Oncology), Critical Care Medicine, and Physics at several U.S. and European Universities. Previously, he was Deputy Director (Western Region) of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration Office of Research Oversight and Director of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center and for a time Acting Chair of Radiology at its Loma Linda, California Medical Center. He has extensively published 425 publications including patents, books & monographs, book chapters, refereed articles. As invited/keynote speaker and member of organizing committees of international congresses and symposia he has lectured extensively across the USA, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. He has been the recipient of numerous research grants from government, academia and private industry, and has consulted extensively with these entities. He is a Board member of several institutions and Health Advisor of the American Heart & Stroke Association Coachella Valley Division, California. He is Editor-in-Chief, Honorable Editor or Editor of 35 medical-scientific Journals.

He had graduated medical school at Diyarbakir University. Professor Vedat Goral is currently working at the Department of Gastroenterology, at Istanbul Medipol University School of Medicine. Previous to this, he was working at the Dicle University from 1987 to 2012 and Izmir Medicalpark Hospital from 2012 till 2017.He has also published many refereed articles in journals covered by SCI, and contributed some to Turkish books written in Turkish. Also, he has many abstracts at national and international congress.
