I chose to present a case in which the dental midline is not aligned, to highlight that Equilibriodontics focuses on a functional result, helping the patient or athlete achieve dynamic dental balance.

Using a soft removable device, such as the Eq. Eptamed Balancer, may lead to a slightly less precise aesthetic result; however, the treatment is better tolerated by the patient in terms of comfort and appearance and is, above all, very stable over time.

In fact, harmonious curves of Spee and Wilson, together with balanced lateral guidance, promote real well-being for the patient, significantly reduce the risk of relapse, and make any posttreatment splints or retainers unnecessary.

Allowing the teeth to remain free, as they naturally developed, enables the athlete to achieve optimal performance.
