Abstract
I am an American from the San Francisco Bay Area but have lived in the United Kingdom for the past 16 years. My professional career started in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where I was a master’s level mental health counselor working with people with a range of difficulties, including addictions, psychosis, intellectual disability, child and family, etc. – in a state funded agency. In 2001, I returned to graduate school to earn my doctorate in clinical psychology, and though it was a generalist degree, I took all the opportunities available to engage in intensive study, take placements and be supervised in clinical neuropsychology.
